The tower of Babel
"The Tower of Babel in the Old Testament was a tower built by a united humanity in an attempt to reach the heavens."
The Tower of Babel is first seen in the opening scene of Warrior Within when the prince was being chased by The Dahaka through the streets of Babylon, It is also seen and is one of the main locations you make your way through in Two Thrones.
In Kindred Blades initial trailer the tower is seen in the distance as The prince and Kaileena were standing on top of a high building looking at the fallen Babylon.
The appearance of the tower shifts across these 3 games, note that the tower from Warrior Within and Kindred Blades look a little similar, while the tower from Two Thrones had a completely different design.

Daggertail origin
The Two Thrones
In Two Thrones when the prince reaches the palace courtyard the place where Kaileena was being kept, as he makes an attempt to rescue the empress he instantly gets intercepted by Mahasti (one of the viziers generals) as she grabs him by her chain like weapon which gets embedded in his arm later when the sands are unleashed with Kaileenas death.T2T - dagger tail embedded in prince arm |

Kindred Blades
In Kindred Blades the case seems to be different, after watching the trailer we can see the prince getting captured and chained in the prison shortly after his arrival in Babylon.prince captured and chained in center of prison |
what happens after this scene, how the prince frees himself and manages to escape remains unknown.

Kindred blades vs Two Thrones
Okay, so here we are going to do a quick comparison between Kindred Blades and Two thrones for the 3 main characters that these two games share.
Kaileena's appearance and role were a disappointment in Two Thrones.
The prince
Kindred Blades |
Two Thrones |
As you can see, in Kindred Blades the prince still had his rugged look and scruffy beard like in the prequel Warrior Within, on the other hand in Two Thrones the prince looks more similar to the way he did in Sands of Time with a "smoother" looking appearance and a shaved beard.
Only one thing bothered me about the model design of the prince in Two Thrones which is how his facial features turned out.. they gave him a different type of outfit which way fine but the facial features were awful, the piercing blue eyes which i always described to be looking like snake eyes and a derp facial expression were a turn off for me.
The Dark prince
Kindred Blades |
Two Thrones |
In Kindred Blades the dark prince was looking like a mixture between the prince and a sand creature, he had glowing yellow eyes, long white hair and pale skin, wearing a sleeveless jacket with trousers and boots. Not much is known about this version of the dark prince since we only see a glimpse of him in the initial Kindred Blades trailer and some of the demo gameplay videos which tell us a few things:
- the prince uses fire to force the transformation of this corrupt half and water to suppress it
- this dark prince doesn't loose health overtime
- can wield secondary weapons
- has a different type of daggertail ending with a hook
- has an aura of glowing sands around him
In Two Thrones the dark prince looks like how many described it to be a "dark dbz character" he had glowing yellow eyes, flowing upwards smoke type of hair, dark skin and yellow sand marks on his body, spikes on his shoulders and elbows, wearing only trousers and boots. some notes about this dark prince version would be:
- transformation happens unexpectedly and can be suppressed by water.
- this dark prince is constantly loosing health and needs sands of time to replenish his life.
- cannot wield secondary weapons.
Kaileena
Kindred Blades |
Two Thrones |
Kaileena's appearance and role were a disappointment in Two Thrones.
- appearance: as you can see in Kindred Blades Kaileena looked younger and prettier than in Two Thrones im not sure about the reason of the sudden change in her looks but i have a theory, because many fans got attached to kaileena in Warrior Within they decided to make her look less attractive from the start well because she had to die at some point to enable Farah to enter the scene again, so basically by making the empress less attractive AND helpless ubisoft was basically telling the fans "don't get to attached she will die, Farah is the girl the prince ends up with not Kaileena"
- role: her role is what also bothered me, i understand she had to die but still i hated seeing her go down without a fight. she goes from being the all powerful empress of time (who gave me trouble on more than one occasion in battle) to this damsel in distress.
